Homegrown Distribution Emerges In Massachusetts
Spinoff evolves from independently backed Mass Bev Alliance, offering responsible partnership for local and visiting producers with long term vision.
Bellingham, MA – Homegrown Distribution (HGD) will assume exclusive sales and delivery of a small portfolio throughout the Bay State including Brewmaster Jack, Grimm, Captain Lawrence, Slumbrew, Lone Pine, Foley Brothers, King’s Highway Fine Cider, and Vermont Craft Mead. Homegrown is the resulting spinoff of the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance (MBA). MBA will maintain its partnership with other existing suppliers and its distributor network.
To complement the local northeastern portfolio, promiscuous drinkers will be treated with sporadic availability from other producers around the world such as 3 Stars, Almanac, Brauhaus Riegele, Coronado, DC Brau, Jackie O’s, J. Wakefield, Modern Times, Une Annee, Upland, and more.
“We’re excited for this project. It’s a new route to market for some suppliers we’ve been working with,” says General Manager, Brian Murphy. “We’ve been able to let it marinate, operating in just the Metro Boston area for over a year, and with support and encouragement from ownership we’ve seen success.”
Homegrown operates complete cold chain service from centrally located Bellingham via a 40,000 sq. ft. refrigerated warehouse and refrigerated vehicle fleet. “Our goal is to be nimble and use our
experience to do what is right for everyone involved. We have over 70 years of experience with everyone on board.” says Director of Sales Operations, Keith O’Hara.

In July 2016, the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance (MBA) moved to a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in centrally located Bellingham. Featuring a multi-zone refrigerated warehouse; the move further illustrated their commitment to freshness and dedicated service to their partners.
MBA began offering distribution out of its Bellingham facility directly to retailers in the Greater Boston area in January 2017. After much success and demand Homegrown Distribution was born, simultaneously expanding coverage across the Bay State beginning October 1st, 2018.
